First Post:

My first year of college is done, just turned nineteen, and I cannot believe that I never wrote down all the adventures and trials I have faced over the years on this planet. This blog is to add a little happiness and good thoughts to everyone’s lives, so feel free to relax and experience life through a new set of eyes. I want to experience and feel every possible thing this universe has to offer: the places, the people, and the opportunities.

“Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.”

-Soren Kierkegaard

Every Life

Every day we begin a new part of cultivating who we are in this ever-changing world. No matter how much you learn, it will never be as much as you will know the day after; ironically all we want is for life to change, yet we do not need to wish for this- it is inevitable. Life is funny like this, we sit back drinking tea or coffee hoping for change, but the moment we change our attitude we have already set the rest of our lives in a new direction. We may only have one body, yet we all live multiple lives while on this planet. We have the life we live alone, that only we see and only we truly understand. Then there is the life that strangers see, whom will never say a word to you as if you are simply an apparition in their life. The life that we live at school, work, on vacation- there is an infinite amount of lives we can live, yet typically people believe they only have their one life. I like to believe that I try to make the most of every moment, which does not always mean I make the best of decisions, but for whatever life I was living in that moment it was what I needed.

There are times that I do things, that in other situations, would not happen in a million years. My home life, for instance, would never in a million years get up and dance on an empty dance floor with a stranger just because they thought it would be fun, yet this has happened. Other parts of my mind have been so rapidly changed back and forth when my different mindsets fight. Part of me wants to be a carefree girl who dances the weekend away with friends, yet there’s the part of me that so strongly has a hold on me that makes this an impossibility unless the right people are there to get me out of my comfort zone.

There are billions of seconds that we experience during our lives and as the saying goes…

“You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.”

So why are we so stuck in our ways?

Everyone needs to care for themselves more than they do. Self-care is an essential part, to living a healthy fulling life. Some ways of caring for yourself can be so simple that they can be implemented on a daily basis. Self-care is a stepping stone to having the best life you can. Below are twelve ways that I keep my mind and body jubilant.

  • Walk more
  • Drink more water
  • Eat more fruits and vegetables
  • Finish eating early
  • Go to bed earlier
  • Move more
  • Less refined sugar
  • Pay attention to portions
  • Keep room clean
  • Keep body clean
  • Cook More/ Eat out less
  • Stretch more

I hope that in some way these self-care practices can help at least one person.

Affirmation of the Day: My Life is as Limitless as my Dreams.

Going Into The New Year: Resolutions

Going into the new year there are so many things to do to change your life for the better. Little things that can expand your abilities and views that only take moment a day. Here are a few that I have decided to implement in my new year.

  • Read More Books
  • Go Vegan and Stay Vegan
  • Cook More Healthy Foods
  • Save More Money
  • Go Outside More
  • Stay More Organized

(Almost) A new year

During the following months, there will be a lot of change. Change is inevitable and I would prefer to embrace it rather than hide from it. During the following months, there will be a lot of change. There will be happiness and sorrow, there will be growth and struggles. I prefer to grow as a person with my time and perhaps I will even become a new person altogether. The cold of winter will come and go, and spring will come and the only thing that remains is the ultimate fact that there will be change.

Different Faces

I believe that every human has many different faces, that they don’t always show. Now, I could simply talk about how some people seem happy but are really sad, but I won’t. The meaning of different faces, to me, is what is going on from the moment you wake up to the moment you lay down for the night. Truly, my different faces show a lot in how I dress. From the first item of clothing I put on in the morning, that is how I determine how my day will go. As in today, I am wearing dark lipstick, a black rocker shirt, and a backpack covered in lightning bolts. My face and personality are different than it was yesterday when I wore a dress, heels, and rose-colored sunglasses. Who knows, by the end of the day I may be someone new entirely. Everyone has different sides that are never reflected at the same time, it is like a rock that everyone sees into in one color, but on the other side comes out a rainbow. Don’t be afraid of change

While I’ve been away:

So I have been kind of AWOL as of late, but I want to make that change. I have been quite busy with moving and just every day life. Now, today I have no interesting new stories or funny annotations to talk about, but I am happy to say that as of next week I will be on a (roughly) three-week road trip! So please don’t get bored, thinking this account is going away because it’s not. There will be more postings within the next week!

Being in nature is like being in a different world. Walking the trails or wandering from the path can be so serine. The sound of wind, birds, and rivers flowing is always better than traffic, yelling, and the smell of pollution. Personally, I love doing four mile hikes because I’m the end you look back at all that you have accomplished. I love being out there and feeling one with nature, and no better place to do it than in Sedona, Arizona. Even entering the town of Sedona brings a blanket of easy as you look at the red rocks and all the greenery. So spend the day outside, even if it’s a walk around the park. Go on an adventure.

Eating Out Vegan:

Like most vegan people, most people I know are not vegan, so this makes eating out quite annoying. If I get asked to pick the restaurant, you must pick somewhere that they will all love and that you can get a simple salad. Usually, if I try to pick a place that is “vegan-friendly” there are the eye-rolls and typically someone else takes over where the location of the meal will be. If you are eating with an understanding person it usually will be at a chain restaurant that you’ve been to a million and one times, but none the less they are “thinking of you”. The moral of this post is to say, there should be much less of a stigma against vegan/ vegan-friendly restaurants! Would it kill some to go ONE meal without that meat or cheese?

To My Mom:

Thank you. Thank you for always doing whatever you can to make my life the best one possible. You always try your best and then some to support me in my dreams and aspirations. I love all of the shopping, travel, and time we spend together. You are my best friend and I am so glad I was lucky enough to get a friend like you by my side. Happy mothers day and may all your dreams come true in life!

“A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.” –

–  Agatha Christie

Who I am

Have you ever met one of those people who is constantly telling stories of their life? They don’t seem to realize that everyone else is sort of drifting off and not really paying attention, but they are so caught up in how happy or crazy a story is that they continue to tell it all the way through. Well, that’s typically who I am, at any given situation I absolutely love telling stories whether it’s a story from years ago or something that simply happened to me over the weekend. Some of my stories will seem exaggerated, but they are not; while other stories will seem so embarrassing that people will be shocked that I’m willing to write them down. Sharing my experiences brings me so much joy and I just thought it would probably be better for me to write some of the stories down before they fade away from my memory. So here it is, my life stories
