Everyone needs to care for themselves more than they do. Self-care is an essential part, to living a healthy fulling life. Some ways of caring for yourself can be so simple that they can be implemented on a daily basis. Self-care is a stepping stone to having the best life you can. Below are twelve ways that I keep my mind and body jubilant.

  • Walk more
  • Drink more water
  • Eat more fruits and vegetables
  • Finish eating early
  • Go to bed earlier
  • Move more
  • Less refined sugar
  • Pay attention to portions
  • Keep room clean
  • Keep body clean
  • Cook More/ Eat out less
  • Stretch more

I hope that in some way these self-care practices can help at least one person.

Eating Out Vegan:

Like most vegan people, most people I know are not vegan, so this makes eating out quite annoying. If I get asked to pick the restaurant, you must pick somewhere that they will all love and that you can get a simple salad. Usually, if I try to pick a place that is “vegan-friendly” there are the eye-rolls and typically someone else takes over where the location of the meal will be. If you are eating with an understanding person it usually will be at a chain restaurant that you’ve been to a million and one times, but none the less they are “thinking of you”. The moral of this post is to say, there should be much less of a stigma against vegan/ vegan-friendly restaurants! Would it kill some to go ONE meal without that meat or cheese?
